About State College of Nursing
The State College of Nursing (SCON), Mirpur AJK is a government-sector nursing education institution established by the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir to promote quality nursing education and strengthen healthcare services in the region. Located in Mirpur, the college operates under national nursing education standards and follows the academic regulations of the University of Health Sciences (UHS), while professional registration of graduates is governed by the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC). Mrs. Shahnaz Amir
Mrs. Shahnaz Amir, Principal State College of Nursing, is registered with PN&MC and brings over 23 years of clinical expertise along with 5 years of administrative leadership experience. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from UHS Lahore and a Master of Arts in History from AJK University.
Her professional journey includes extensive clinical service at DHQ Hospital Bagh and CMH Rawalakot, and leadership roles such as Nursing Superintendent at DHQ Hospital Bagh. She has overseen nursing operations, ensured adherence to clinical standards, and coordinated multidisciplinary teams.
Mrs. Shahnaz Amir demonstrates strong academic excellence, strategic leadership, faculty management expertise, and a deep commitment to advancing nursing education and professional standards.
